Answering Arthur’s Rhetorical Questions

So, I caught the remake of Arthur on a cable movie channel the other day. I’m absolutely NOT a fan of Russell Brand and was quite upset to hear that they were remaking the movie originally. While it was never high art or anything, the original Arthur is a bit of a classic and good for some laughs, mainly at the manic performance of Dudley Moore as the namesake loveable drunk – a performance that has set the standard for a generation of actors “acting drunk.”

Post Infocomm Wrap-Up

I had planned a nice, long post-Infocomm wrap up for this space, but (as per usual) life intervened. So, that blog will be forthcoming (I hope). In the mean time, I am still hard at work on some Infocomm coursework I started last month and looking ahead to resuming my MBA classes this fall. I am also again on the job market, the new trial sales position having not worked out to our mutual satisfaction. But, it is the 4th of July this weekend and a GREAT time of year to catch up on all my tech reading and home projects while I investigate new opportunities. Yes, I’m back on the Infocomm JobSite, rAVe job board, TechCrunch job board and LinkedIn recruiters. And, hey, if you know of anyone in the Mid-Atlantic region looking for a qualified and experienced AV person, let me know!

MrAVDawn immediately went to work for a larger integrator in the MidAtlantic region that specializes in government contracts, particularly secure VTC centers. Exciting stuff, as he joined the firm right off the bat as a Senior Design Engineer. He loves the new gig, and the new gig seems to be loving him. Read more

A Cheery Friday Babble:

Okay, so… Earlier in the week, I promised a review/report on my recent Digital Signage installation/set up, and I said it would be posted by the end of the week.

It’s Friday.

Ah, nuts.

*hangs head in shame* Before Monday? I’ll get it posted before Monday!

But, I was not procrastinating. I really wasn’t! Because my A/V company has been busy as all get out.
