DTV Transition Update
BREAKING NEWS!!
On Monday, January 26, the US Senate passed a bill to extend the DTV transition deadline from February 17 to June 12. At its passage, the bill moved to the House for a vote. Now, it is unclear from news reports whether or not this proposed extension would affect the February 17 deadline for the restriction of the 700 mHz frequency band for wireless microphones. Indeed, a telephone call to the FCC this morning yielded as much confusion there as here on this topic! Still, it may be a moot question.
